Since 2005, MMM has sold more than 82,000 units of vehicles in Malaysia. MITSUBISHI MOTORS FLOOD RELIEF PROGRAM

50% DISCOUNT ON SPARE PARTS FOR MITSUBISHI OWNERS AFFECTED BY THE FLOODS; RM81,000 RAISED TO SUPPORT RELIEF EFFORT

Kuala Lumpur, 8 January 2015 – Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi passenger vehicles in Malaysia, has announced a Flood Relief Program for all Mitsubishi owners affected by the recent flood disaster.

Mitsubishi Motors will offer a 50% discount on spare parts prices from today till 31st January 2015 for vehicles damaged by the floods, the qualification for discount will however be subjected to verification from MMM to ensure authenticity of each case. Additionally, only vehicles that were purchased from the authorized dealers of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia can qualify for this special discount.

“We hope that this Flood Relief Program offered by MMM will help ease the burden of our customers through this difficult period. Our heartfelt prayers and best wishes go out to our customers and their families who have been affected by the floods,” said Toshiyuki Okumura, Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MMM.

In addition, MMM, together with its authorized dealers, pledged RM50 each for every Mitsubishi vehicle that was registered in December 2014. At present, a total of RM81,000 have been raised. This fund will be used to replenish necessity items such as school supplies and household utilities.

MMM will also be holding a clean-up program at flood-hit areas such as Kuala Krai and Tanah Merah in Kelantan, as well as Temerloh, Pahang to assist flood victims from today until 10 January 2014. Triton Tuners Club (TTC), the official club for Mitsubishi Triton owners in Malaysia, is also supporting this initiative.

FIELD FIX CAMPAIGN FOR V-BELT AND BRAKE BOOSTER

LATEST CAMPAIGN INVOLVES CBU MODELS OF THE LANCER, LANCER SPORTBACK, LANCER EVOLUTION AND ASX

Kuala Lumpur, 6 January 2015 – Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, has requested for the inspection of the V-ribbed belt and brake booster of certain CBU models manufactured between 2007 and 2010. If deemed necessary, these parts will be replaced at no expense to customers.

Models involved in the V-ribbed belt inspection include the Lancer, Lancer Sportback, Lancer Evolution and ASX. While in the case of the brake booster, only the ASX is involved. Note that the locally-assembled ASX CKD models are not required to undergo this inspection.

MMM will issue notification letters to affected Mitsubishi owners and the full cost of the inspection and repair (if required) will be borne by Mitsubishi Motors.

MMM kindly request valued customers to make an appointment at any of our Mitsubishi Motors authorized service centres for the inspection and/or replacement of the above.

Mitsubishi Triton Gets A Facelift!

Most powerful pick-up in its class now with sportier enhancements

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, officially launched the new Triton today. Apart from the Triton VGT GS, the Triton facelift also offers three other upgraded variants including, Triton 2.5 AT, Triton 2.5 MT and Triton 2.5 MT STD with a new designed front bumper and grille.

The stylish looks of the Triton VGT GS has been further enhanced with sportier elements including newly designed front bumper and grille as well as projector headlamps. From the interior, the Triton VGT GS now comes with 6.1-inch Touch Screen Audio with rear view display*. The Triton VGT GS also spots newly designed sporty 17” alloy wheels while the Triton 2.5 AT/MT comes with 16” alloy wheels.

The Triton VGT comes with a reliable 2.5-litre powertrain diesel engine which produces a maximum output of 178 PS at 4,000 rpm, while maximum torque at 350 Nm from 1,800 – 3,500 rpm.

The Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) delivers uncompromising power while maintaining fuel efficiency by achieving an optimal turbo aspect ratio at any given speed. It harnesses the power of the exhaust emission, ensuring a constant delivery of additional fresh air to the engine for optimum performance.

The Triton VGT GS is also the only pick-up truck to be fitted with Hybrid Limited Slip Differential (LSD)* that gives excellent off-road response. Hybrid LSD combines the torque-sensing benefit of helical gears and the speed-sensing of a viscous coupling unit, all designed to work alongside ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) and EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), which are standard. The Triton comes with Mitsubishi’s RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body which is effective in protecting occupants. It is also equipped with a solid frame construction and aerodynamic body design to provide solid handling with smooth highway performance plus excellent stability and traction. The Triton is also equipped with an agile suspension system to give an unmatched traction and stability with a higher ground clearance for off-road conditions.

Power is channelled to the wheels via 5-speed automatic transmission with Sports Mode. Mitsubishi’s Easy Select 4WD system which allows the driver to ‘shift on the fly’ from 2WD to 4WD at speeds of up to 100km/h. The Triton offers the best in class turning radius of 5.9 metres.

The overall initial quality score is determined by problems reported per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower rate of problem incidence indicating higher quality.

New 2014 ASX Mid-Sized SUV Now Open for Bookings

 Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, announced today that the local assemble Mitsubishi ASX is now open for bookings at all Mitsubishi showrooms nationwide ahead of its official line-off ceremony later this month. The stylish designed urban compact SUV offers two mobility 2WD and 4WD.

“MMM is proud to announce that the locally assembled ASX is now open for bookings. The new ASX CKD comes with a more affordable price tag to cater for the market demands of an affordable mid-sized SUV. This is part of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s (MMC) business expansion strategy in emerging markets,” said Tetsuya Oda, Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.

He added, “All cars produced by Mitsubishi Motors worldwide are governed by high quality standard set by Mitsubishi Motors which ensures consistent quality level of all Mitsubishi cars. This means the cars that are locally assembled will have the same quality level with models assembled in Japan.”

Both variants are equipped with Auto Rain & Light Sensor, leather seats, GPS Navigation System, Front & Rear Parking Sensors with Reverse camera, Automatic Air Conditioner and High Contrast Speedometer.

The 4WD variant is further packaged with more equipment’s such as Panoramic roof, Paddle Shifters, Push Start Button and Security Window Tint.

Prices start from RM114, 269.50 for the 2WD and RM128, 879.50 for the 4WD variant on-the-road without insurance. The CKD (Complete-knocked-down) ASX is available in Black Mica, Titanium Grey, Cool Silver and Solid White and comes with a warranty of 5 years unlimited mileage.

The Latest Triton VGT Euro

Kuala Lumpur, 4 October 2012 – Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the importer and distributor of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in Malaysia, officially launched the new Mitsubishi Triton VGT Euro today. The Triton VGT Euro is specially ordered and imported from Thailand and is exclusively limited to just 180 units.

Made especially for those who enjoy the outdoors with an urban lifestyle, the latest Mitsubishi Triton VGT Euro adds on power sunroof (the first pick-up truck in Malaysia to offer this feature) power slide and vent rear window, new front bumper extender with LED day time running lights, short cargo bed with sports roll bar, color-keyed rear step bumper, tail lamp garnish and door handle protectors.

For comfort and convenience, the interior of the new Triton VGT Euro adds on Audio player with Bluetooth connectivity and new leather seats.
